Have you ever heard of the Law of Giving?
Although there has been much written about the Law of Attraction (I even write about it myself), there are several other spiritual laws that are just as powerful when properly used. They all work together, and one of my favorites is the Law of Giving.
You have probably heard it said that what you send out will come back to you tenfold. This is the basis behind the idea of Karma, and also the golden rule:
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
The Law of giving is the secret behind these ideas, and you can start using to improve your life drastically.
What Is The Law of Giving?
When I am doing business consulting work through my company, Life’s Hope Media, one of the areas I talk a lot about is the areas of networking and giving to others. When I teach this in marketing classes, people often balk at the idea of giving to others. However, it has worked for me time and time again.
Basically, the Law of Giving states that whatever you give out will come back to you. Now, sometimes it comes in ways that are pretty straightforward. However, often it is difficult to connect the reward with the giving.
However, when you give this way, it has to be without thought of return. You have to give completely selflessly for no ulterior motives or subconscious ideas of what you are trying to get back.
This is a big part of why I do these blogs and websites. Although I do run a business, most of the work that I do is completely given away for free through my blogs, pages, videos, and such. It is my way of giving. When I do actually sell something, I generally don’t do the heavy handed sales pitches like many out there. If people choose to give back, they do, and if they don’t, I wish them well and hope they learned something while they were here.
How to Use the Law of Giving
Start by just doing things for others with no expectation of return. Over the years, I have given donations of time and money to different organizations completely anonymously. I could have taken a tax break or made a big scene out of it like many others do.
However, for me it isn’t about me. It is about giving where my help was needed.
Occasionally, I will do things, even for my friends and family. I don’t ever say I did it, or let them know where it came from. Again, this would defeat the purpose, making about me. It isn’t at credit. I don’t say these things to boast. However, I have to share these things to show how you can use the Law of Giving in your own life.
Recently, I had someone come to me with help with a particular person they were having problems getting along with. I asked them what they had done for them recently that nobody knew about.
They admitted that they hadn’t done anything, because they couldn’t get along with the
person were discussing.
So, the next day, they went and did something special for that other person. They didn’t make a big deal out of it, and it went by quietly. Now, they are getting along, and have even begun to develop a friendship.
It doesn’t always work out that way. But, that is one effect that the law of giving can have on your life. There are many ways that you can start giving and gaining from the experience.
Remember, even though it sounds a bit contradictory, the key is to give with no expectation of return in any way. Once you release the energy in this way, it can multiply and come back to you. Often, it comes back in unexpected ways. So keep your eyes and mind open.
